Arland Turns ONE!!!

Can I just say that this day was a sort of a whirl wind! I cant believe that my baby is already a year old. A year ago I gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy any one could have imagined. When Heath and I saw him for the first time we knew that our lives had forever changed and that our family of two would now only continue to grow and now we were a family of three. I remember seeing Arland for the first time and noticing how full he looked, he had these chubby cheeks that I absolutely LOVED and he had this strong dimple in his chin that made my heart melt. He cried for the first time and I remember how badly I wanted to hold him. He was ours and I knew that I never wanted to go back to how life was before. He was truly an angel from above and I couldn't believe that Heavenly Father trusted Heath and I with such a special little spirit. His smile melted my heart instantly when I saw him for the first time in the nursery all warm and calm. Heath asked me if I knew which baby was ours and I knew instantly that he was mine. Arland you have forever changed our lives and I love to more then you will ever know! Happy first birthday my little boy!

For Arlands Birthday we had a "fishy" themed party. We went to the Aquarium and it was so fun to see how excited my little boy would get looking at all the fishies!

We also celebrated with our families at our house with cake and ice cream and opening gifts

While I was hanging his pictures on the wall (a time line of his first year) I started to get really emotional because I realized how fast this whole year had gone by. Being a Mother has been the most amazing gift that I have ever been given it is truly the most spiritual title a woman can be given and I am so thankful that someone can call me "mommy" Arlands little smile makes me week at the knees and I know that I would do anything for him. He is our little bundle of happiness. Here are some things that Arland can do at a year!

Mommy Letter

11 MONTHS!

Well once again I am a little behind...I forget sometimes how fast you are growing and I just want to freeze you the way you are right now! But I look back at some of the letters that I have written you over the past 11 months and I realize that I loved every one of those stages and so I would be happy to freeze you at any one of them. There is also the fact that as you are growing you are doing more things, sillier things, and your daddy and I are looking forward to every stage of life that you have! This past month mommy was able to change her schedule so that she can be home with you more. She only works two business days a week! (And I am LOVING the time that I get to be with you!) We have done alot of things like going on walks and reading and playing with your toys. You have this dump truck that mommy and daddy got you for Christmas and you LOVE it. Really though you love the little person that is inside of it and you try to stick your hand inside the window of the truck to get him out, then you get stuck and you cry because you just want that little person so bad! So now you know how to get him out and you carry that little person all over the house with you. Have I mentioned that you still wont crawl! But you don't need to crawl when you can scoot...you scoot all over the house (opening cupboards, drawers, doors) getting into anything you really can reach or pull your self up to. And in all this time that you are scooting you have that little person in the palm of your hand. On the walks that we go on I bundle you up and put a hat on your head...ps. you hate hats! You pull them off immediately after I put them on. You would much rather see what is on that head of yours!
For Christmas we went to Grandma and Grandpa Pulham's house really early (5 am) to open presents! You actually did really well and you loved ripping all the wrapping paper. Santa brought you a little four wheeler (which you sat on the entire time we opened presents) that you move with your feet and some books with a new blanky! Grandma and Grandpa Pulham were no disappointment as well! You got lots of toys and some clothes! Then we went to Grandpa and Grandma Neuberts house to open presents and that was a wild house too! You just have so many people that love you. Your Great Grandma and Grandpa Jepsen were there and they spoiled you like crazy too! You got fun toys to ride and lots of love. Daddy had the flu so he was out of commission but we sure had some fun, and yes you were so exhausted by the end of the night. Daddy was also busy selling 8 puppies that pazely had for Christmas. You really didn't know what to think of those little things but it was fun to touch their fur. You can now say "Mama, Dada, and you shake your head NO when you don't want something." You also shake your hands when you want to be picked up, scoot everywhere, pull your self up in the your crib. And you LOVE your aunties! You laugh hysterically at just the sight of them! You love the bath and you still hate Bananas and Potato's, everything else you will eat. Mommy and Daddy took you on a trip to Idaho this month to visit Grandma and Grandpa and we even gave you Mexican food. (Boy did you love that!) Next Month you will be 1 year and I cant believe how fast that time has gone. You are my little monkey and I cant imagine life without you! We love you Arland boy!

Summer Plans!

Hello VACATION!!!!

For Christmas/Graduation Present Heath and I decided to do a desperatly needed vacation! We are so excited to go on this trip! We are going on a cruise! Also Heath wants to visit some good friends from his mission so we are leaving a couple days early to visit and enjoy the awesome California weather! Our cruise goes to Catalina Island and down into Mexico! Woohoo 5 days of PARADISE on a cruise!

We cant wait to be to all of these places!!!

10 Months!

I can not believe how much you have changed in the past month to now. You are doing so many things and interacting so much more and we love it! Of course we loved your newborn stage but this stage is so fun because we can play with you more. You love to laugh and boy do you love to laugh at your aunt Sophie. You think that she is the funniest person in the room. Seriously you dont care about anyone else as long as she is in the room. You will laugh so hard at just the sight of her and we love that you love her so much. She will run up to you and scare you and you will just laugh so hard that you get the biggest hicups! And when aunt Sophie gets tired of you she will take you to Grandpa Neubert and you will cry and cry because you know that aunt Sophie is going away. You started saying "Mama and Dada" (we love that) and you also shake your head to say NO. You also can wave bye bye with your hand and you love to do patty cake. You also love to stand by yourself and you love to walk around as long as somebody is holding your hands. You also love your toys and you will turn your head to the side like you are bashful at people. You love to eat food by your self. Your favorite is noodles with butter and cheese on it. Manderine Oranges are also a favorite along with the regular sweet potatos. You LOVE your veggies and that makes us so happy! You also love the tub with all your toys in it. Bed time for you could be 6 pm if we let you but we try to keep you awake until at least 7:30. At this time you get really fussy and mad. You have the brightest smile Arland and mommy and daddy love you so much! We love all of your kisses that you give now and we love to cuddle with you when we put you to sleep.

9 Months and Big News!

Arland @ 9 Months.... We are WAY behind on this!

Well Arland's 9 months mark came and went, he is going to be 10 months this week and I CANT believe that! Here are some things that Arland learned at 9 Months

Arland,
You are one of the smartest babies I know! (I may be biased because I am your mother, but regardless I still think you are the smartest and most handsome!) You love picking things up off the floor, you are still not crawling but you will scoot your body around in circles to pick stuff up off the ground and they will be little tiny fuzzies that I am shocked that you can see with your little eyes.
Also you learned bye bye at grandmas and you are really good at it!
You get bashful alot still and this month we have noticed more that you have "favorite" people. You dont like strangers and you LOVE your mommy daddy aunts uncles and grandma's and grandpa's. Its funny how you have decided who you like.
You got a high chair! And boy do you feel big and in charge now (as if you werent already). You love to eat food off your tray and you drink out of a sippy cup now.
You also went to the doctor this month and sadly enough you just cant keep your weight up. You are 16 pound in the 3% for your weight. You are eating I promise! You are also in the 75% for your length! Woo hoo you are tall! You love to laugh and giggle and you love to give kisses in the mirror. I love all the changes that are taking place, you are my bundle of joy!

Also this month, Arland and Addie found out that they are getting another.........COUSIN!!! WOO HOO!!! We are just so ecstatic for Trevor and Chelsee! They are going to be wonderful parents and we are so happy for them!

The Big Pumpkin!

This last week the Pulham family had a party at their house. Heaths parents have been planning this forever and it was fun to actually be able to do it now. My father in law got these giant pumpkins that he wanted to put the grandkids in and take pictures. It was so fun to carve these giant pumpkins and to put Arland and Addie inside of them.

Isnt that the happiest pumpkin you have ever seen! He loved this!

The excitement didnt last for long....Addie and Arland got tired of it after a while. Arland sure does love his cousin Addie though!

This weekend we took Arland on the swing at the park too. He didnt really know what to think and started crying. We then put him in the same swing with Addie and he did a little better. Addie on the other hand LOVED it. She was hysterical!

Arland is now 8 months old! WOW where has the time gone!!! I cant believe my little infant that I brought home from the hospital is now a jibber jabbering little man! He is SO interactive now. He is wanting independence more and more and we can see this through the way that he wants to eat, sleep and play.

Arland,

Here are some things that you learned this month!
You are loving your toys right now, we will put you on the floor surrounded by your toys and you know exactly what ones you do like and which ones you dont. Grandma Pulham got you this duck for easter that makes noises and you go crazy when we push the button for it to make a noise. You litterally make the angriest face and attack the duck like you just want it to shut off! Your daddy and I laugh so hard at this.
You went to your Great Grandma and Grandpa's house for the first time this month and you loved spending time with them!
You Love to cuddle with Daddy and lately you have been more cuddly with mommy too!
You love to be outside with the animals at Grandma and Grandpa Pulham's house and to play outside on a blanket at Grandma and Grandpa Neuberts house. Aunt Sophie could play with you for hours outside!

This month you waved Bye Bye for the first time!!! It was so exciting, Grandma Pulham waved bye bye to you and you did it back. So now everyone tries to get you to wave bye bye all the time!

Hello World!

Wow how I LOVE this little boy! We have done so many fun things these past couple of weeks. I just thought that I would show some pictures of our "happenings" lately.

Arland 7 Months!

Arland, wow your mommy is behind the times! I cant believe that you are almost 8 months old! I with going to school, and spending all my time playing with you, mommy has had no time to blog about you turning 7 months old. Some of the things that you do now are:

Sitting up, Rolling around (No crawling yet), Playing with your toys, and eating cereal puffs all by your self. ( Mommy gave you a puff about a month ago and you choked on it, I got so scared and tried to pick it out of your mouth but by the time I could get to it you swallowed!) Now you are able to eat them all by your self and you pick them up and put them in your mouth. You are such a great eater!

Sleep...you are the best sleeper ever! 7pm-7 am! This one Sunday Grandma Neubert and your aunts came over for dinner and I had put you down to take a nap in your cute new church clothes with a bottle, when I went in to get you up I realized that you were soaked! (Completely Drenched!) Well I realized that the top to the bottle wasnt secured all the way, hence you had about 5 oz. of formula all over your new church clothes. This didnt stop you from catching up on some much needed sleep!

You LOVE walks and being outside. Mommy and Grandma Neubert went to This is the Place Heritage Park and you loved all the animals. You laughed so hard when the goat made noises. I couldnt help but think how much you are like your daddy! You just want to wrestle and play with all the animals...especially Pazley!

You had your first camping trip and first visit to Swiss Days! Mommy and Daddy werent exactly prepared for this experience, we forgot your binky, stroller, hat, and front pack. This went over really great at Swiss Days (not really). Mommy had to carry you all over in the blistering heat! Finally she gave up and called Daddy to come get you and take you back to the camp site. Your Aunts at camp saw that you were extremely hot and didnt want you to get heat stroke so they stripped you down and let you be completely free of clothes. They thought it was so funny because you went to the bathroom like a boy for the first time out in the mountains (Right on Kiera's boot). They though it was halarious!
We love you so much little man and we cant wait to see what new things you learn!

arland 6 months!

6 Months old!

Sorry this post is a month late almost! Arland is almost 7 months old and this is a post for his 6 month birthday. I love to write him little letters about how he is changing every month. I hope you enjoy!

Arland Loves to Swim! This was on his 6 month mark!

Arland you are now getting so big! Well that could be an understatement...I should say that you are getting so LONG! You weight on the other hand sadly is not the same. You are truly a skinny string bean! We had you 6 month appointment and you measured in at 27.9 inches 80th percentile and your head came in at 80th for you age. This is the kicker though, I feel as though you eat constantly (ever 2 hours 3/4 cup of cereal and then 6 oz of bottle) but it is just going right through you. So many people would love to have your metabolism! You weighed in at 13.9 pounds and you are in the 10th percentile for your weight! The doctor says that you are just tall and skinny and there is nothing to worry about so that was a relief!

I cant believe all the changes that you made this month!

You got your first tooth! It is on the bottom right and when it cut this month you were in so much pain and it was so hard for mommy to watch you go through that pain of that little tooth popping through. We love your little grin and now that this little tooth has made its presence, your smile is contagious!
You are loving all fruits and veggies! Eating cereal around 3-4 times a day and then a bottle in between. The doctor say that table food is great for you now!
You also rolled over this last month, hooray! I think that this is a huge milestone for you even through you still hate being on your stomach. You will roll from you stomach to your back but that is only because you hate being on your stomach! You roll and scoot all over the place and you love to stand up in the new walker that we got you this month! You love to sit in your walker in the living room and watch Curious George with all the music and everything.
Naps are not your favorite but you are getting better at them!
You are making so many more noises now and you will lay on mommy and daddies bed and talk to all of your toys. It is so funny because you find a new noise every day and for that whole day you will make that same noise. (At the grocery store the other day all of these ladies kept complimenting on what a happy baby you are. You smile and everyone and you were blowing bubbles the entire time we were in the store.)
You love your binky and anything and everything that you can put in your mouth because you are teething now.
You love when daddy wrestles you and throws you in the air. We will kiss your chin and you get laughing so hard! You also make bubbles and say "babababa" it is your favorite noise right now. You also love to pucker your lips out and make a pouty face that is to die for!
You are sitting all the way up now and love playing with your toys without any support at your back.
You are sleeping around 8-7 am! I LOVE it! We keep you room really cold at night because it is so hot during the day in the summer that we have to cool it down before we put you to bed. I turn it off after you are asleep but the dang heat just wipes you right out!
We went camping in Orangville this past weekend for the 24th of July with the Robertsons. We had such a fun time but boy did you not sleep well there. You would fall asleep and I would put you on the bottom bunk to sleep there but 30 minutes later you would cry wanting me to hold you and when I would let go you would cry. Needless to say it was a long night but I did love snuggling with you on that trip. You hated the fire works though, you screamed the entire time!

You love the tub! It is so fun to give you baths because you love to splash and scoot all over the tub. I put this wash cloth on your stomach while I am washing you, and this is more entertaining to you then any other toy because you suck on it the whole time. You kick all over the tub from the end to the top. You are getting so blond like mommy and you have the bluest eyes! Mommy and Daddy love you more then anything in the entire world and you truly are the center of our Universe! We love you Arlie boy!

Park City!

I LOVE July! We have had so many fun days this months with family and friends. For the 4th of July we went to Park City with my family and stayed in a town house there. It was a BLAST! We were able to go on some fun walks, play tennis, ride bikes, go shopping and enjoy the festivities that Park City has to offer for the fourth. We had a great time with my grandparents and Arland was able to see his first parade this year. We were also able to enjoy time with Heaths family over Roundup with all the fun the city has to offer. Here are some pictures of us lately!

Arland went swimming for the very first time...and he LOVED it! He fussed a little at first but he was so good in the water for probably a good 45 minutes (which is way longer then I expected him to last)

We took Arland on this lift that went up on the Mountain. The kid was so tired after about the 3rd time going that he fell right asleep!

We also went to the Parade!

After a long day of shopping this is what happened. Auntie Emm saves the day while the little mister takes a much needed snooze!

We also hit a big mile stone with Arlie this week! He now holds his own bottle and can take a sippy cup!
My little boy also got his first tooth this week! (more on that later!)

Arland 5 Months!

This summer has been busy busy busy! We have hardly had a chance to catch our breathe most days. Heath and I both have been working and in school this summer. I am almost done with about two more semesters after this summer! And Heath is taking 18 credits this summer and working full time! I am so proud of him for taking on school like this. He tells me all that time that school means alot to him and he knows that it has been asked of all of us to receive an education. I am so so proud of my husband! He is determined and strong and I love him for sacrificing his time to get done with his education. I also cant wait for him to be finished! He will graduate some time after me in 2012. (Fingers Crossed)

My little Arland is 5 Months today! I cant believe how fast the time has gone. Heath and I tell each other everyday that he is the best thing that we have ever done. He brings so much happiness into our home, more then we ever could have imagined! He changes with every day, and as part of his growing I have written a little thing to Arland each moth telling him things that I notice in him through out the month.

Arland at 5 months,

You are changing right before my eyes! You are loving to grab things and put them in your mouth, anything and everything goes in your mouth and it is funny because you will look at your hand and I know exactly what you are thinking (I am going to put that whole thing in my mouth). It really is so fun to watch you do this. The only problem with this is that you stick your fingers in your mouth and it makes you gag...I have stopped you from doing this but man those fingers are so tempting!

Today your Daddy put his head on your stomach and you grab his hair and laugh and make all sorts of noises...you love hair. You are also way more ticklish now on your sides and thighs and you will giggle alot for us!

This month you started eating solids! You love your cereal. You started with Bananas and now you love squash, peas, pears, carrots and sweet potato's! You will eat anything! You can eat about 3/4 cups of cereal on top of about 4 oz. of formula. You are a kid that knows how to eat. You also have a very fast metabolism which shows in your weight. You are a skinny string bean weighing around 13 lbs. Long and lean is what you are!

Because of all of this food you are now sleeping from about 8:30 pm to 7 am. You are the best baby in the whole world. You never fight mommy when she puts you to bed. You know exactly when it is time to go to sleep! You are not much of a nap taker but thats ok because you make up for that at night.

You are so good at Grandma's house when I take you there during the week. She takes you on walks everyday (5 miles). And you love to sit in Grandpa's lap while he types on the computer.

For your 5 month birthday we went to the Rodeo! Your dad loves the Rodeo and he was so excited to take you to it. We got there and at first you were a little fussy but that is mostly because you hadnt had a nap all day. It was so noisy that I covered both of your ears and you slept through the ENTIRE thing. You were amazing through all of the noise and and chaos.

Arland you truly are the pride and joy of mommy and daddy's life and we love you more then words can describe. We love to watch you grow!

Arland at 4 months!

My little Arland boy is now 4 months old and I cant believe how fast he is growing. I love what he is turning into and the changes that he is making but a part of me misses that fragile little infant that I brought home from the hospital. Being a mother is one of the most wonderful things I could have ever asked for in my entire life. I love every part of Arland and the joy that he brings into mine and Heaths life.

Arland at 4 months can do these things:

You are now making noises and telling mommy and daddy stories. This is hysterical because you make the most serious funny faces while you are talking to us.

You and Pazley's puppy! You didnt like her very much

You hate to be burped! What a horrible thing to have your back hit just so that you can make the loudest most uncomfortable burp come up. I would hate that too. But if we dont you know what the consequences are....throw up and that is NO GOOD!

You love the bath tub! We put you in there and put the wash cloth on your tummy and you squeal with excitment! This is so funny. You can be in the tub for a good 15 minutes just talking to your self while mommy and daddy wash you. The other day you were so tired when mommy put you in there you fell asleep and I washed you while you were sleeping the entire time. It was hilarious.

You can now hold a bottle by your self too! Its still a little hard for you to hold it up high enough but you get the hang of it! You also started trying rice cereal and today we fed you a banana at grandma pulhams. You loved it, but 20 minutes later it all came up. What a stinker you are!

We also have you too the point now where you can stand up. Daddy has to hold you standing up, but you can straighten your legs and stand up regardless! (And you like it!)

Today your aunt Amanda was playing with you on the ground and she started to tickle your neck. Boy did you give us a giggle, and not just one but lots of them! We all laughed at you until you thew up and then the fun was over.

Toys are your new favorite thing, you have this elephant that vibrates and boy you just wish that you could eat that thing so bad! It drives you crazy because you just want to fit it in your mouth so bad... along with your fist. You love to suck on your fist and about anything else!

Mommy and Daddy gave you your first hair cut this month. We didn't cut much but it was enough to make you look like you don't have a weird mullet any more. You look more like a little boy now. Daddy thinks your mommy is crazy for saving your hair, but I just don't want to lose any part of your "babyhood."

When we gave you your hair cut we put you in your bumbo chair, you still don't know how to feel about that thing.

Your Grandma Neubert loves to baby sit you. You are her pride and joy now and you would be surprised how people fight over you there. You are just the center of attention all the time. (Your aunt Sophie has a hard time sharing you, she just wants you all to her self, so she takes you in another room away from everybody else and hides you so that she doesn't have to share.)

Arland so many people love you and we love to watch you grow! Even though we may seem like the craziest mommy and daddy in the world we love you more then you will ever know.

Happy Mothers Day!

This year was my first mothers day! I loved the entire day! Heath got me some beautiful plants for the yard that I am so excited to plant! I loved this day because I was reminded once again of how much I love being a mother. I love this little boy more then words can describe and he makes me the happiest little momma everyday.

Arland is THREE MONTHS! (well a week ago...mommy is a little behind!)

What Arlie does at three months,

1^st time sleeping in crib.

You also now sleep all the way through the night! (10:30-8)

1^st away trip to St. George!

You make giggle noises a little when you smile now.

Eating 4-5 oz. in a feeding every 2 hours

You love taking baths (you also get so tired some times when I put you in the tub at night that you fall asleep in the tub, and you still hate lotion time.

You hold your bib or burp rag up to your mouth and you suck on them now.

You also love your fist and sucking on your fingers.

You are also grabbing things more, not all the way, but you are getting there!

You like to be held , but you LOVE to lay on the floor and kick your feet all around.

You are liking your swing more, it is where you take a lot of your naps.

You are now holding up your head! And you prefer to be sitting up and facing away when people hold you.

You hate tummy time but your dad makes you do it any way and you scream until you fall asleep.

You love your feet rubbed and it makes you smile to have your tummy rubbed too.

You got your very first cousin this month! Addie came into the family and it is so fun to see you two together.

You also started to stay with your grandma for this first time this month while mommy goes to work and school, and boy do you love your grandma Lori. Your grandpa Dave is funny too, you like to just sit in his leg while he is typing and doing conference calls on the phone.

This also has shown us that you LOVE the television. You get this after your aunt Emmaline. (tv addict!) When you see the TV, your eyes become glued. I think that it is because of the constant changing colors, but none the less we have got a big problem on our hands!

You also love to go on walks with Mommy and Grandma. You fall right asleep.

The only thing that you don't like about the walks is the WIND. Boy do you hate the wind. You hold your breathe and start to panic any time you feel wind on your face. Daddy thinks its funny.

You love to be sitting up and you tell us little stories with the noises that you make. You are also now sitting in your Bumbo chair! It is hilarious! You love to talk to mommy and daddy and smile.

You smile all the time!

Arland at 2 Months

My sweet baby boy, you now have had your shots and you did AMAZING! You cried only during the shots and then you smiled after!

You do this funny thing with your bottom lip where you poke it out like you are pouting, it is hilarious and we love it. You do this when you are wanting to be held or get your diaper changed. You still “quiver” your chin and now when you cry it sound like you say “Mom,” it sound more like “Maaaaaaaam”! I know that you are not really saying anything, but the fact that you are vocalizing that word to me, makes me the happiest mommy in the world… even if it is only when you cry.

Your smile is so beautiful! I love it when you smile for me. You mostly do it when I change your diaper ( by the way I am now a pro at changing your diaper, we have not had a spray in a very long time, on the other hand you pee every time your daddy changes your diaper) you love when we change your diaper. You also wake up around 7 am every morning and that is when you smile the most! You love the mornings, seeing the light and daddy and mommy smiling at you. You have discovered your tongue and it is so funny to see you stick it out and make noises with it. You are also making cooing noises now and we coo right back at you.

When I feed you, I love to rub your feet, and you love to have them rubbed. We have also found a formula that helps with your spitting and it is some hearty stuff, it is so thick that I know it just sits right in the bottom of your stomach.

Because we are feeding you this formula you are now sleeping from about 11 pm to 4:30 am and then you wake up at 7 am to be up for the day. This has been GLORIOUS! I don’t have the courage to move you to your bedroom yet because I love having you so close to me so for the time being, you will sleep in your bassinet in mommy and daddies room.

You love the shower! Your daddy holds you in the water and lets it trickle on your face and you fall right asleep. The tub on the other hand is another story. You love it, but it makes you feel totally in secure so you scream and have real tears stream down your face.

You love to be held and you know when I put you down, it is as if the world has come to an end sometimes. A lot of people say that it is a bad thing to hold your baby but I think that you can never hold your baby too much and so I just enjoy every moment that I get to be with you.

Pazely is still trying to figure you out. She is not quite sure why you make so much noise and she loves to watch me give you baths in the tub. She sticks her head over the side of the tub to watch you and tilts her head like she wonders what you are and why you are making so much noise.

Things I love about Arland at 1 month old:

The “quivering chin” When you cry you scrunch up your chin and poke your bottom lip out, it’s adorable! This really accentuates the dimple in your chin.

When I change your diaper or put you in the tub (which you really like! Your face is priceless when we put your body in the water, you don’t really know what to think, staring with a serious face is all you do), at the last second when you feel insecure, you spread your arms and legs out with your hands and feet stiff as a board and scream.(Your daddy then laughs at you because he thinks its so funny)

At night when I put you to bed I give you a little bit of formula to “top you off” and in the middle of the night when you wake up to have me feed you, you cry only for a moment until you realize that it is mommy holding you and then you instantly become quiet.

You also love to snuggle! Especially in mommy and daddy’s bed. You kick dad to the end of the bed and completely take over his side. It’s so funny to watch because I know that you are totally content in that spot.

I love how curious you are about light and bright colors you look as though you see something that nobody else does.

You do like your swing, but not for very long. Its better when mommy or daddy is holding you and we get to snuggle!

You sleep the longest from 5-9 am with the shortest being 1-3 am. Your daddy has to wake up at 3am because you make me the most tired at that time! (Daddy’s are great for things like that)

You get these hiccups that drive you absolutely crazy! They are so intense that you start to cry after a while!

Every time we burp you, you have these really strong legs that push your entire body up and away! You can now lift your head!

I love this little face! He literally is my pride and joy and I am so glad that I get to be home with him at this time. I LOVE being a mommy and this little guy makes it so easy! How could you not love this face!

When Arland came home from the hospital he had jaundice pretty bad and he had to be under the lights (like a tanning bed). This is his cute face mask that he had to wear while he was under the lights.

During the night one of us had to be up with him at all times. We couldn't leave him under the lights by him self so you can see the exhaustion in Heaths face as he is looking at our little mister.

Sweet Baby Arland Heath Pulham

Our sweet baby boy was born on January 25th at 11:29 pm. He weighed 7lbs. 12 oz. and he was 20 inches long. Needless to say he was absolutely perfect! He has a sweet little dimple on his chin and we think that he is looking more and more like his daddy everyday. The delivery went well I was in Labor for 10 hours with absolutely no pain. It was a really easy delivery, he was just ready to get here and we love having this little person in our family more then words can describe!

A Little Bit of Him....

Lately I have been thinking a lot about what has brought us to the point of such happiness in our relationship. Heath and I have known each other since high school and we have had so many positive and negative situations throughout our relationship that have brought us so much closer together. I truly could not have accomplished the things I have without him. He is my rock and I am so thankful that I get to come home to him everyday. He stabilizes me through the hard times and laughs with me through the good. I can only imagine how lucky this baby is going to be to have a dad that loves him unconditionally. 33 Weeks and Counting!!!

This week has been so long for both Heath and I. We just finished up with finals for school and now we are onto Christmas and getting ready for the baby! I look back and I use to think that this semester would never end. It seemed like we had forever until the baby gets here, but now with one step done (fall semester) we are able to actually feel like it is not that much longer. Heath has been working on building the crib and we are just both working and patiently waiting for this little mister to get here. He still has a while to bake but these next couple of weeks are going to go by so fast and that I am thankful for! Dont get me wrong the whole pregnancy thing has been fabulous but I am ready to be able to sleep and breathe and not be sick any more. More then that Heath and I are so anxious to just meet him! Here are some pictures of me today at 33 weeks, Thanksgiving and a photo of me at 30 weeks! Enjoy!

I see people doing this heart on the belly pictures all the time and I thought about how silly it is, but seriously Heath and I already love this little person so much that the heart on the belly does not seem as silly any more...I love everything about these two pictures! Our little mister is growing fast and healthy. Lately I have been able to see him move more on the outside of my stomach with little bumps here and there. And Heath started to feel him move a couple of weeks ago, so that was really exciting! We have started to get things ready for his room, which we are so excited for. Pictures are soon to come! And my mom was so great and made my bumper pads for me! She made the quilt that is behind me in the picture, she is super talented and so you can imagine what the bumper pads look like. We celebrated my moms birthday this week by having a family dinner with my family, and grandparents on both sides. We loved getting together and talking about...almost everything! I love my family and I love my mom! She is an amazing person and I look up to her so much, I have learned so much from her and I hope that I can be half the mom that she was to me. Happy Birthday mom, love you!

20 weeks!

Well this week has been quite the busy week. Yesterday we were able to go to the doctor to have our 20 WEEK check up! Every time that we go, regardless whether it is just for the doctor to check to see if our little man is growing right, I look forward to every minute that I am in that office listening to our little guys heart beat. It is so amazing! Right when the doctor touched the wand to my stomach you could hear the heart beat, we didn't have to search for it at all. In fact you could also hear this swooshing noise every now and then and he said that it is because the baby is kicking and moving. I am telling you, this kid loves to move around! I am feeling him more and more each day and I love every movement that he makes. So as for now our little guy is happy healthy and extremely happy to be moving so much! This is not our baby, but it is a baby at 20 weeks!

This week has also been a big week of this

I really think that this is how Heath feels sometimes. Juggling full time work and full time school is not an easy task, but some how he manages.....I said sometimes. Heath has been so wonderful this semester, he is starting to really enjoy some of his classes and he is keeping up with the tasks that his job has for him. I appreciate him so much and the time that he puts in for every thing. I don't think I have ever known someone so determined in what they are doing and I love that determination that he shows me everyday. Thank you honey! I love you!

My brother Noah is serving a mission right now to Puebla Mexico. He has been out about 3 months now, and he has been waiting for his visa to arrive. Sadly it hasn't and so he has spent the past time in the MTC and he left today on a plane to Arizona! This is temporary until he receives his VISA which he cant wait for.

Well that is about it for now. Things are well with the Pulhams!

This is our little guy as of lately! You can see his profile with his fingers and toes clear up by his face. It was so fun to see him move, active little guy.... I guess he gets that from his dad. Well Heath and I went to the doctor today for our 16 week appointment and we have some great news. Our little person coming in February now has a gender!!!! Baby Pulham is a BOY!!! We are so excited to have a boy in our family. We thought about what our preference would be if we could choose and we really didn't have a specific gender that we wanted the baby to be. If we had a girl we would want a boy and if we already had a boy we would want a girl. But seeing as that we have neither we are so excited about having a boy!!! There will be pictures soon of the baby and now my stomach is starting to pop out a little. Still no sickness I am one of the lucky ones! Also on a fun note, today we found out what the baby is and we started our first day of school for the semester. Heath and I actually really enjoy school. I am in my junior year with two semesters left so that is really exciting and Heath, well he still has a ways but I am glad that he is enjoying school. We are super busy but we are enjoying life and we are so excited to know that we will be welcoming a little boy to our home shortly!

The baby is now 12 weeks along! We are so excited that we are now to this stage in the pregnancy, I definitely have alot more energy and I am not as tired. Today we were able to go to the doctor to hear the babies heart beat. It is one of the most amazing experiences to know that this little heart is beating so fast inside of you. We wont find out what the baby is for a couple more weeks, but the doctor assured us that the baby is growing strong and healthy so far!

Alot has been going on the past couple of weeks. Heath and I have been busy with work and working on our house. Heath has the sprinkler system almost complete! This has been a big process and we have had alot of people over to help. We also had some great news a couple of months ago.......I AM PREGNANT! Hooray! We are so excited to be at this next chapter in our lives. Now we will be working to get the house ready for our baby to come home on February 5th! This past week Heath and I were able to go to visit my grandparents in Idaho, which was a great break from school and everything. We were only there for a couple of days but it was a fabulous vacation. All we did was sleep the whole time, this was to make up for the lack of. We love to visit my grandparents and be with them. They are so much fun to be with and this is somthing that I know alot of people dont have. I am very fortunate for the relationship that I have with my grandparents, they are wonderful and I love them.
After we spent the weekend with my grandparents we came home and went to a Grizzleys hockey game with our good friends Daniel and Brittany. They are going to be getting married in the next couple of weeks and we are so excited for them. They are great friends and we cant wait for them to be married. MY BROTHER IS GOING ON A MISSION!!!!

Today my brother opened his call and there were probably 50 people in my house today to support him in this. It was a great experience. We all made guesses on where he would go and we had a prize for the winner. It was very exciting!

We are so excited for him, he is my only brother and I am so proud of him for making the decision to serve a mission. He leaves on July 21, 2010.

This is a club for wives against the......

For all you bloggers out there I have come to the realization that the JAZZ has ruined my life! Not that they are a bad basketball team, I am a Utah fan my self, lets make that clear. Let me explain. My husband is a huge fan of the JAZZ and I have spent countless nights watching this sports fanatic jump up and down to a score that is ever changing. My thought is "What is the point of all of this?" He becomes this crazy person that changes right before my eyes. Its like he transforms into a screaming monster, but what exactly is he screaming at? This is my question to you. He claims that this is a form of stress relief to watch his favorite basketball team play but I beg to differ I think it causes him more stress than it is worth. Maybe I just dont understand, but can I ask you one thing.....CAN I HAVE MY HUSBAND BACK???!!!!

Update on House!

Hello again everybody! We are so excited to move into our house we can hardly stand it! This past week has been demolition week and we appreciate all of the help from everyone. There were a few things that we wanted done to the house before we moved in, little things like knocking down walls here and there and tearing down the ceiling...like I said little things, no big deal. Well because we have made these small changes a large amount of dust has accumulated throughout the house, forcing us to have a huge cleaning party! It was well worth it though to make the changes that we did. We knocked down a wall that divides the living room from the kitchen and made a half wall there and then we knocked out a few walls to make the master bedroom closet bigger! I am so excited about that! The house looks great and we have been doing these projects in record time! We had my dad, my brother Heaths dad, his brothers, coursin Mark and his great friend Colton help us on the house and they have been so great to help us, we are extremely lucky to have all of these men with such great skills. For the past few months Heath and I have been looking for a house. We were getting really tired of playing the renting game and figured that it was about time that we tried to get into a house. We both will be here in Utah for school for a few more years and this is a great time to buy a house, especially for first time home buyers, so we started house hunting. House after house we were not satified and then one day we found it! We found a cute 1960's red brick house closer to school! Yesterday we closed on the house and we cant wait to move in! MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM IDAHO!

Heath and I were able to go stay with my family in Idaho at my grandparents house over the holidays and we had a really great time. There was lots of food, presents, snow and hot chocolate involved and we enjoyed spending time all together. Here are some pictures of our trip. We hope you all had a great holiday!

We went sledding up in the hills and we took the two dogs, pazley and pheobe with us. It was so pretty!

All of us taking a break from sledding down the hill. It is always so fun to go down the hill, its the coming up that kicks your but. We could hardly breath when we got to the top of the hill.

We tied Sophie's sled to Heaths truck with a rope and pulled her around in the snow. It was funny because we were all sitting in the truck and Sophie was out there by herself hitting rock and snow piles along the way. Her face was priceless.

Emmaline and I went down the hill together, we didn't make it very far and when we stopped she shoved my face in the snow and white washed me! I was so mad and being the nice sister that I am I didn't do it back....I called heath over to shove her face in the snow for me! ha ha it was so funny we were both on the verge of tears after. What are sisters for right?!

This past month has been so great and busy all at the same time. On the fifth was my birthday and we were able to go with my parents the day before to the festivale of tree and out to dinner. The picture below is a tree that my family did for my little cousin that passed away.

A few weeks ago we were able to go camping with Heaths family and we took a four wheeler ride that was about 40 miles long! It took us all day, but the colors were amazing and we had a blast spending time with the family.

1 Year Wedding Anniversary!

This week Heath and I had our 1 year anniversary!!! We spent the day by going to Salt Lake and then to Macaroni Grill which (one of our favorite restaurants) and then we went to the Hale Center Theater in Orem to watch a play. It was the best to be able to spend the entire day together! I love you Heath!

Heath and I took a trip with some friends this past week to California. We stayed with a family from his mission. They were so great to let us pack all of our stuff around their house. We had a blast at the beach!

This past week Heath and I were able to take a trip with my family to Idaho to visit my grandparents. We had a blast, Masha and her kids were able to come with us as well! Our Month

This past month Heath and I have been busy with school and work. Our theory is that if we do it now we wont have to do it later! So that is a good thing. These are some pictures from our past month!

Heaths little sister Keira had surgery on her foot. Weird bone had been growing on the side of her foot and was causing irritation. This photo was taken after the surgery...can you say loopy!!!

Sorry it has been so long since I last blogged. Alot has happened with us moving into our new apartment and we have been busy with work family and friends. This past month we were able to go back to Heath's mission in California with my side of the family. We drove down Saturday night and spent Sunday visiting people in his mission and walking on the beach. On Monday and Tuesday we went to Disneyland with my family and Wednesday we visited more people. It was so great to be able to get away from the cold snow and relax in the warm beach sun. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Heath and I had our day off together this week on wednesday and so we decided to make a full day of activities! We started off the day with a bike ride down the Jordan River trail. It was so much fun. The weather was perfect and the trail had great scenery. After that we decided that it would be fun to take the four wheelers up to his cabin with Josh and Whitney our brother and sister in law. We had a great time and these are just some pictures to catch you up!

Sorry I havnt put anything new on in a while. Things have just been crazy moving and getting settled. Heath and I are so happy to be back in Utah. Heath is still working at the plasma center and I recently got a job as a bridal consultant! I love it! We will both be going to school this summer, I am going into elementary education and Heath is thinking of going into physical therapy. We are both excited to start school again, but more then that we are excited to be finishing. I hope that you all like some of the wedding photos that I posted and we will have more pictures soon!

Jackson Hole

This weekend turned into a blast when Josh and Whitney decided to come stay with us. We kind of made a last minute decision to go to Jackson Hole for a night. We stayed in this really nice hotel in Alpine with the most beautiful scenery. We did some walking around the shops during the day and we took a really great sleigh ride to see some of the wild life. It was a really great weekend!

This is Jazzy, Whitney and Josh's Yorkie. They got her last week and she is so cute and little. I love this picture of her in the boot.

We all decided that it would be really fun to go on this sleigh ride in Jackson Hole. It took us on a tour of an elk reservation. There were tons of elk and we had a blast!

It is true we are moving! This has been a really big week of decision making. Heath started school this week at BYU Idaho, but he also ended school this week at BYU Idaho. He will be going to UVU in May to start school instead of this semester. We have loved living here for this short time but we have both decided that it would be best for us if we moved back to Utah. Living in Rexburg has definitely had it ups and downs and we have enjoyed living here working and going to school.

My mom made this beautiful quilt for my grandparents for Christmas. It is a quilt documenting their life in Alaska. My grandpa also made a book for my mom with some of the same pictures documenting their life in Alaska. They had no idea what each other were doing.

Heath made me this beautiful book case for Christmas. He made it in three days with the help of his brother Josh. Josh made his wife a beautiful ceder chest. They are so incredible. I love the book case!

Heath gave me a "Sentsy" for my birthday, they are really neat. It is a light bulb in the black thing with the holes and and the little dish on top holds differents wax's that melt.

This was a really great week, it was my birthday and Heath had the day off so we started off the day with me going to class and then right after that we went to Idaho Falls for the day. We had lunch at the Olive Garden and then we went to see the movie Twilight! It was a great day.

The next day Heath and I went to the "Christmas in the Snow" Concert on campus. It was the BYU Idaho womens chior and mens and the symphonic band all played and sang christmas songs. We had a really great time and then we also saw some of my relatives there! It was my cousins birthday that day so we celebrated with them after the concert.

My mom made this quilt for my graduation, and my mother in law made us the christmas table runner! We have very artisitc and tallented people in our family.

This is my new nativity set! I love it and I got it for a great deal which made it even better!

Josh and Whitney got us tickets to the Jazz game while we were there and a few days later our Pulham family went out to dinner at Texas road house and to the play "The Savior of the World." This week Heath also went hunting with some guys in our ward, they didnt get anything but he had a great time. The picture with me and the boat is a house that we saw today. I thought it was so funny and had to take a picture infront of it.

Well Heath and I went to our first dance as a married couple and we both think that it was one of the funnest dances that we have ever been to. Heath was the number one party animal there. This week was a blast. Heath and I made the drive back to Utah and we were able to spend Halloween with our famly and friends. Heaths friend Daniel came home from his mission and it was good to see him. Heath and I also dressed up for Halloween with our friends Jason and Melissa. We were dressed up as a cowboy and an indian. Jason and Melissa were "large" people. In our outfits we went to Olive Garden and had dinner.

Our best friends Jason and Melissa got married on the 7th of October and it was so exciting for us as well because Melissa is my best friend and Jason is Heaths best friend and it was so exciting to be able to be with them on their special day. Melissa worked in Alaska with me (we gutted fish on a dock) while Jason was on his mission in Chile. We all have alot of memories together and it was so great to celebrate with them.

Hello everyone and I hope that you enjoy our blog. Just a little bit about us; Heath and I went to highschool together and after he graduated we started dating. Heath served a mission in Anaheim California for two years and I went to school at BYU Idaho. Two years is a long time to wait for someone but the time past so fast. While Heath was gone I worked at a fishing lodge in Alaska and then went to school in Idaho. After that I studied in London for about 4 months. It has been a busy past two years for the both of us. Heath returned home from his mission in June on the exact day that I found out that I am a diabetic. We have had many twists and turns these past few months in our relationship but we get through it together. Three weeks after heath returned from Anaheim we were engaged and two months after that we were married. We are now living in Idaho and going to school here. We will keep you updated on what is going on with us and hope that you enjoy our blog.
