Kiddies

Porter,
I can't believe that you are 8 almost 9 months! Where has time gone...seriously! I hold on to the fact that you are really like 6 months so that means that I get an "extra" 3 months with you being my baby! Christmas has come and gone and now we are all sick in our house, you especially, I took you to the doctor and they said that you may have RSV. I am hoping and praying not, I am trying everything in my power to keep you safe and taken care of. That means humidifier, ibuprofen, Tylenol, some doterra oils and LOTS of lovin! It's hardest when you sleep, you and I were up till 3 am last night and then you threw up everywhere. I just hope you feel better soon. You are so happy though through it all. You started sitting up by your self! CRAZY! And you are such a jibber jabber! You started some solid foods (rice cereal) but you LOVE your bottle. You are also the best sleeper still too! At night Arland says his prayers that Porters lungs will stay strong, feel better porter bug. We love you so much!

Arland,
Bundle of energy! That explains you right now! You love to wrestle and play chasing games. Last night daddy got home and you wrestled him in the bed for a couple hours! You kept saying "daddy get me!" And "daddy I'm fine" haha we were laughin forever about you and how much you have changed. It seams not that long ago that we were getting to know each other again, you wouldn't speak or eat. I knew you felt confused and alone. But now you love to play and talk and explore. You are my bundle of energy! Love you smart boy!

Christmas

As I sit here on this Christmas Day while Arland is playing with his new toy kitchen I want to document our memories together. This was our first Christmas with Porter and it was so wonderful and magical for our family. Arland has been talking about Santa since thanksgiving and our Christmas did not disappoint. Heath and I wanted to do everything possible to make this Christmas extra special, we had a family activity every day, some bigger then others. We went to see Santa and to a movie, played in the snow, made ginger bread houses. We did everything! This morning arland woke up and grandma and pa Neubert came over to see Arland come out of his room to see what Santa brought him. There was a giant teepee in our living room! He ran right for the teepee and played hiding, he got a flashlight and lots of books, and loved helping Porter open presents. Then we went to grandma and grandpa Pulhams where we celebrated Christmas in their new house! We chatted, played and had a giant Christmas breakfast! Arland LOVES his cousins so it was just fun to be together with all of our family! Then we went to grandma and pa Neuberts where we talked to auntie umm ( sister neubert)! She is just so happy serving a mission for the LDS church. She really is the happiest she has ever been and loves what she is doing. It was so hard to say goodbye we miss her so much but are so proud of her! We then opened presents! I seriously cannot express how tallented my mother is! She gave me shadow boxes of my boys blessing outfits! I started bawling! Heath got new lights for the outside of our house! Arland got a play kitchen, it was a WONDERFUL Christmas! Now I am sitting in the basement watching Disney movies with my Arland while me sweet baby Porter and the rest of my family sleep. So much to be thankful for this year, my children are healthy happy, and growing! Heath is such a hard worker and so supportive. My little family has been through so much this year and I couldn't be more thankful for the guardian angels I have in my life. The ones living and the ones on the other side. I truly know that with out a doubt Heavenly Father has watched over my family and guided me to amazing people to take care of my Porter being born and Arland while I was away. It was such an amazing and beautiful 2013, I will always remember those that came into my life this year, and those we love that left us this year. Merry Christmas!

Holiday activities

We have seriously been so busy this week and LOVED it! We started off by taking the heber creeper train on Monday and it was a blast!
The West family came with us and we listened to Christmas music and had hot chocolate and cookies on the train.
Then at some point my dad and mike found a microphone and well the started singing and had the people up in the isle of the train dancing. Enough said.
Arland LOVED it and was dancing the entire time with his pal Zoe.
Then last night we made ginger bread houses and might I say, the most glamorous gingerbread houses. We had lots if laughs and competing!
Arland loved to put the roof together with us and Zoe made a deer for the front of our house too.
We LOVE those girls! Any hoo we have just loved these holidays and can't wait for arland to see what the big guy in red brings him for christmas. He runs around the house on a regular basis saying " I LOVE PRESENTS, I LOVE PRESENTS!"

A birthday

Every year Heath asks me what I would like for my birthday and every year I say the same thing.... A vacation! I was always the child that dreamed about waking up christmas morning and my parents telling me that we were going somewhere amazing for the holiday. Alas that never happend. I would much rather go on an adventure than do gifts. So that is what Heath gave me! Porter and Arland stayed with my dad and mom while Heath and I headed to Park City for a mini-vaca! I love that I was able to have Heath all to my self for my birthday. Sometimes we just get so wrapped up in life that we forget to take time to enjoy each other so this was the best birthday gift ever! He took me out to dinner, and then it was an entire day of shopping! After that we went back to the hotel and watched "The Sound of Music" with Carrie Underwood. I loved it, Heath tolerated it for me. Haha All in all it was perfect! I did miss my little misters though.

These two...

I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to be the mother to these two. Today we awoke to a blizzard outside our house. Arland knows that Santa or "ho ho ho" is coming to our house to bring presents! He talks about Santa living at the North Pole with elves and riding the Polar Express! He believes and that is so magical in our house. So this morning when it snowed we had to put snow pants on and shoes an bundle up to play out side. We love this time of year, playing christmas music reading stories and snuggling in mom and dads bed to watch a christmas movie. I am so lucky to call these two mine!
